About KHT

About KHT Instrument: Hall-Effect Thickness Gauge Manufacturer

Short answer

KHT Instrument is a packaging test equipment manufacturer and exporter in Jinan, Shandong, China, founded in 2019. Our instruments work in more than 500 laboratories in over 40 countries. This site covers one of them: the KHT MTG-100 Hall-effect thickness gauge, which measures bottle and container walls from 0.100 mm to 6.350 mm with standard balls and up to 25.4 mm with optional magnetic balls.

01

KHT Instrument: Background

KHT Instrument was founded in 2019 in Jinan, the city where much of China's packaging test equipment is made. We build and export instruments for packaging quality control: thickness, friction, heat seal, tensile, leak and headspace gas testing. The full range is on packagingtestequipment.com.

We started the company for one kind of buyer: the QC laboratory that needs an instrument it can specify, order and put to work without a local agent in between. That buyer needs published figures, a complete kit, a written quotation and someone who answers in English. Those four things are how we run every order.

02

Why We Make a Hall-Effect Thickness Gauge

Bottle and container plants check wall thickness every shift, and the awkward spots — the shoulder, the base corner, the groove — are exactly where a micrometer cannot reach and where cutting the sample open wastes product. A Hall-effect thickness gauge reads those spots without damaging the part: a steel target ball inside, the probe outside, and the gap between them on the screen.

The KHT MTG-100 covers 0.100 mm to 6.350 mm with three standard target balls, to ±1% of reading after multi-point calibration on the largest ball, and up to 25.4 mm with optional magnetic balls. It measures any non-magnetic material: plastics, glass, composites, aluminium and titanium.

Who Uses the KHT MTG-100

Two groups buy this gauge from us, and we sell to both worldwide.

  • Packaging producers and fillers — beverage, food, chemical, agrochemical and pharmaceutical plants that blow, mould or fill plastic and glass containers and check wall and base thickness in their own QC laboratory.
  • Distributors of laboratory and test instruments — companies that supply those plants locally and want a Hall-effect thickness gauge in their range with English documentation behind it.

Where KHT Fits in the Market

Buyers of a Hall-effect thickness gauge usually look at two ends of the market. At one end are long-established international brands: excellent instruments, backed by global service networks and priced for that. At the other end are online listings with a photo, a model number and little else — no accuracy basis, no list of what is in the box, nobody to ask.

We work between the two. The measuring principle is the same. What we add is what a buyer can check before ordering:

  • Published figures for every ball — thickness range, accuracy after basic calibration and accuracy after multi-point calibration, all stated as a percentage of reading.
  • A complete kit — main unit, stainless steel probe, three sizes of target ball, a calibration fixture for each ball, a zeroing fixture and calibration thickness shims.
  • Mains power anywhere — 100–240 V, 50–60 Hz, with no transformer needed.
  • Standard units ship within one week of order confirmation.
  • A written quotation within 24 business hours, and support by email and WhatsApp in English.

How an Order Runs

  • 1. Scoping. You tell us the material, the wall thickness range, the container type and size, the quantity and the destination.
  • 2. Configuration. We confirm which target balls you need and whether the optional magnetic balls, software or printer make sense for your work.
  • 3. Written quotation within 24 business hours, with freight to your destination.
  • 4. Proforma invoice after your confirmation.
  • 5. Shipment within one week for standard units, in one export carton of 60 × 40 × 30 cm, 10 kg.
  • 6. Support after delivery by email and WhatsApp, in English.

06

Why a Whole Site for One Gauge

Buyers of a Hall-effect thickness gauge ask the same questions every time: what range each ball covers, what "percent of reading" means, how it compares with ultrasonic, what is in the box. We wrote the answers down once, chapter by chapter, with every number taken from the instrument's specification. If a figure is not confirmed, it is not on this site.
